Welcome to Emergency First Aid's blog
We are developing this blog to gain insight into community and business expectations with regards to first aid training.
More information will be added in the coming weeks, but until then we want to know what you expect from a first aid course and why you have done a course in the past or even why you haven't.
Comments are welcomed so that we can better improve our service and develop user friendly courses that are more fun and interactive.
We will be posting various photos and scenarios for you to answer.
Have a go, it doesn't matter whether you are right or wrong, we'll put up our treatment soon so that you can compare!
Anaphylaxis
We had a question this week from a concerned parent who mentioned that their son was no longer allowed to take peanut butter sandwiches to school, however he was allowed to take a well known brand of Hazelnut spread on his sandwiches.
His question was "whats the difference, aren't kids allergic to hazelnuts too"?
During the conversation he agreed that the removal of peanut butter was a necessary measure but believed that it perhaps wasn't enough and that hazelnut spread should also be removed.
What do you think?...if you have ever seen a child experiencing anaphylaxis the answer is easy.
